Seth Blankenship grew up in Western North Carolina where he learned that leadership, at its core, is service. Seth is seeking to serve the people of WNC (Buncombe, Polk, Rutherford, Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, and Catawba counties) through representing them in Congress.
Seth graduated from Charles D. Owen High School in Black Mountain, NC and spent four great years in the mountains studying Criminal Justice at Appalachian State University. After graduating from Appalachian State, Seth was offered a job at the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship in Washington, D.C. While serving in D.C., Blankenship rose through the ranks in two short years, advancing from Capitol Hill Liaison to the Chief of Staff.
It was at the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship where Seth learned true statesmanship. During his time in D.C., Seth began to understand what the federal government is, and most importantly, what the federal government is not. After seeing, first hand, the mishandling of federal powers, Seth decided that someone must do something to stop the overreach of federal government.
Seth is a strong, conservative Christian and recognizes that sacrifices have been made so that he can have a fulfilled life and understands that the same must be true for future generations.
